The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced that the state of Florida would receive Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding to support long-term recovery and mitigation efforts following Hurricane Sally.

The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced that the state of Florida would receive Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding to support long-term recovery and mitigation efforts following Hurricane Sally.
The Florida Department of Commerce (FloridaCommerce) is the governor-designated state authority responsible for administering these funds. Working with Florida's impacted communities, FloridaCommerce's Office of Long-Term Resiliency (OLTR) has developed an action plan to guide how this funding will address unmet recovery and mitigation needs following Hurricane Sally.The six counties identified as Most Impacted and Distressed (MID) are eligible for Hurricane Sally CDBG-DR programs.
In the aftermath of the storm, HUD identified one MID county (Escambia) and one MID zip code (32583) from which operations will extend to the entire county (Santa Rosa). The state of Florida identified an additional three MID counties (Bay, Okaloosa, and Walton).
Under the prime contractor, CRI, Franklin provides CDBG-DR TA for selected subrecipients to implement recovery programs Recovery Housing, Economic Development, Infrastructure and Buyout programs Onboarding with subrecipients and Florida Commerce to walk them through all that is needed to compliantly start up and run CDBG-DR funded programs. Cross-cutting requirements we are breaking down.
We provide the guidance to implement and design all phases of these programs. Also reviewing program paperwork and design to revise. Created checklists to evaluate the processes and procedures of these programs and their creation/implementation.
