Mr. Franklin is an active member of his community’s civic fabric, including direct community service, non-profit board involvement and philanthropy. He is the President of Franklin Associates.

Mr. Franklin’s professional career spans three decades inclusive of real estate development, real estate brokerage, urban redevelopment, governmental relations, and several aspects of disaster recovery. He holds licenses as a LA real estate broker, Louisiana Contractor, and is a registered lobbyist. He founded Franklin Associates in 2005 which specializes in community engagement and disaster recovery program management. Prior to founding Franklin Associates, Mr. Franklin served the community by leading Mid City Redevelopment Alliance, a Baton Rouge based non-profit organization which implemented economic development strategies to revitalize the core of the city. In addition, he served in ExxonMobil’s Public Affairs department in Baton Rouge in the late 90’s.

Franklin Associates has worked on some of the world’s largest disaster recovery projects including hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Sandy. Most recently, the firm supported the state of Louisiana’s work to curb the transmission of Covid-19 in 2020 and 2021 by managing seven hotels which were converted into non-congregate housing shelters for the state’s homeless population. In addition to the direct mission of that project, most of the residents were placed into safe and sanitary housing options with the hopes of having lifelong positive impacts.

In 2021, the firm expanded its headquarters in the Mid-City area of Baton Rouge where they introduced a high-tech conference and meeting facility to better serve their clients and community.
